Thought my little crochet page hit 100 followers, it actually hit 1,000 overnight
Last Tuesday I opened my phone during lunch and my crochet account had 1,043 followers when it was sitting at 96 the night before. One of my granny square blankets got shared in a big crafting group out of Portland and it just took off while I was asleep. Two weeks earlier I cried in my car after a rough shift, thinking about quitting the whole hobby because nobody was seeing my stuff. I sat there staring at the number for ten minutes and then my coworker asked why I was grinning at my soup. If you make things online, what number or comment finally made you feel like it was worth it?
Oh man, my buddy who knits socks had a similar thing when a post of hers blew up and she just sat there grinning at her coffee. It's wild how one share can flip everything after you almost gave up.
