Why does nobody mention how loud the train station in Pittsburgh is?
I had a terrible morning last week, missed my connection and was stuck at Pittsburgh's Union Station for two hours. Everyone always talks about the architecture but nobody warns you about the insane echo in the main hall. Every announcement bounces off the marble and sounds like five people talking at once. I was already stressed about being late for a meeting and the noise just made it worse. Then I noticed this small coffee shop tucked near the back exit with really quiet seating. I grabbed a $4 latte, sat in the corner, and actually got some work done on my phone. The barista even let me charge my laptop behind the counter. That quiet corner totally turned my day around, sometimes the best spots are the ones nobody talks about. Has anyone else found a hidden quiet zone in a normally crazy public place?

Disagree completely. That station is dead quiet compared to most cities.

Quiet compared to what, a war zone? It's hardly worth arguing about either way.
