Why does nobody talk about the smell at the indoor skate park?
I finally took my nephew to the indoor skate park over on Elm Street last Saturday. Let me tell you, the day started off rough because my car battery died in the parking lot. But once we got inside, I realized the real bad part was the overwhelming smell of sweaty socks and old rubber. It was so thick I could almost taste it, and I spent the first ten minutes just trying to breathe through my mouth. Then my nephew skinned his knee on the concrete and started crying, and I thought, yep, this day is a total loss. But then a guy who worked there came over with a first aid kit and a wet rag, and he was so chill about it. My nephew calmed down, got back on his skateboard, and even landed a new trick after an hour of trying. Has anyone else been to a place that smelled awful but still ended up being a good time?

Breathed through my mouth for a solid hour when I went there last month, that place has a special kind of funk that just hangs in the air. But honestly the staff is so cool it kind of makes you forget about the stank after a while.
