Swapped sugar for honey in my bread recipe and it's a mess.

The dough is way too sticky now. How can I fix this or should I just go back to sugar?

Hey, did you measure the honey by volume or weight? I mean, it's way thicker and wetter than sugar so that could be throwing off the whole balance. Maybe try mixing in a little extra flour until it feels right?

Oh no, that's a classic swap gone wrong! My buddy Alex did the same thing last month and his dough was a sticky disaster until he took advice like @valw69's and kneaded in more flour bit by bit. It saved the loaf, so maybe give that a shot before you ditch the honey!

Yeah mixing in extra flour slowly fixed mine too.
