The week I finally got my sourdough starter to behave
It was after I started feeding it with warm water from the tap, not room temp, and keeping it in the oven with just the light on. That consistent 78 degrees made all the difference. Anyone else find their starter gets sluggish in a cold kitchen?

Is my starter lazy or am I just bad at keeping my house warm?

Blame the cold house, starters just follow basic science.

Heard sourdough experts say starters thrive around 75-80 degrees, so a cold house is probably the real problem here.
