Watched a baker at the Saturday market in Poughkeepsie score 40 loaves without a single tare
Stopped by the farmers market in Poughkeepsie last Saturday and this older woman running the sourdough stand was scoring loaves straight down the middle with a lame she'd made from a coffee can lid and a razor blade. I've been fighting my $28 scoring tool at home and she's getting cleaner ears than me with basically free stuff. Anyone else find that the cheap handmade tools just work better than the fancy ones?
