Worst baking week ever: my brioche turned into a brick and my custard split
Last Tuesday I tried to make brioche for a farmer's market order and it came out so dense you could use it as a doorstop, then on Thursday my lemon custard split right as I was pouring it into tarts. I lost about 40 bucks in ingredients and had to refund two customers. Has anyone else had a week where everything just went sideways for no clear reason?

Some days it feels like the universe tests you on purpose, right when you think you've got a handle on things. It's like there's a pattern where one little thing goes wrong and then everything else decides to follow along.

It's almost like the universe has this weird rule about piling things on when you least expect it, you know? You spill coffee on your shirt and then somehow miss your bus, and suddenly the whole day is a wash. Kind of makes you wonder if there's some sort of cosmic joke being played on all of us.
