My grandma's cooling rack advice finally clicked
She always said flip cookies fast or they stick. Ignored her for 10 years. Last week I left a batch on the sheet for 5 extra minutes. Tore every single chocolate chip cookie in half, 30 of them. Picked up a cheap metal rack at the thrift store for 2 bucks. Now I flip after 2 minutes and they slide right off. How long do you all wait before moving things off the tray?

Isn't it wild how the answers are always right there in the stuff old people tell us, we just gotta trip over it ourselves first? That's basically how I learned to let dough rest before rolling it out, took me years to just follow the simple rule. Funny how one little timing trick can change your whole baking game though.
