Can we talk about dollar store scissors that can't even cut paper?
Grabbed a pair for $1.50 before a craft project last Saturday and they bent on the second snip, so now I'm just sitting here wondering if anyone else has found a discount tool that actually works or if we're all just throwing money at frustration.

Yeah, "bent on the second snip" is exactly what happened to me too. I used to think cheap scissors were fine for basic stuff, you know, like opening packages or cutting string. But after grabbing a pair for a craft project that literally folded in half on the third cut, I changed my mind completely. Now I just keep a pair of decent Fiskars hidden from everyone in my house, I'm not even kidding. It's wild how much better a five dollar pair works than the dollar store junk.

Hiding good scissors from the family is the only way to keep them alive, I do the exact same thing.
