Dollar store glass cleaner works better than the expensive stuff on old mirrors
I've been fighting with streaks on this vintage mirror I got from a thrift store for like 3 months. Tried Windex, tried vinegar water, nothing worked. Picked up a $1.25 bottle of that generic blue glass cleaner from Dollar General on a whim last week. Sprayed it on, wiped with a microfiber cloth, and the thing looks brand new. No streaks at all. I don't get how something that cheap outperforms stuff that costs 5 times more. Anyone else find random dollar store products that beat name brands for specific things?

Didn't I read somewhere that cheap glass cleaners skip some of the extra ingredients that cause streaks on older glass? Might just be less extra junk in the formula.
