I finally ran the numbers on thrifted bread machines vs new ones

I dug into 3 years of my own thrift store receipts and found I've bought 5 bread machines at an average of $8 each. But then I had to factor in the $12 for replacement paddles and $6 for new bread pans since most were missing parts. Has anyone else added up what they actually spend making those garage sale appliances work right?

Oh come on, people have been saying they're "saving" for years and still buying $8 lattes every day. Is it really that big of a deal if they splurge a little?
