My cousin said dollar store sponges are the same as name brand, she is wrong
She bought a 4 pack of dollar store sponges for $1.25 and said they last just as long as the $3 Scotch Brite ones I get at Target. I bought the same pack from Dollar Tree in Reno and mine fell apart after two weeks. What cheap item do you refuse to buy generic on?

The line "she is wrong" is doing a lot of work here for a sponge debate. Sponges are like $2, who cares if one lasts two weeks and the other lasts a month, you're out a buck either way. Save the strong opinions for stuff that actually matters, like garbage bags that rip or toilet paper that dissolves on contact.
