Overheard a guy at the goodwill bins say 'just because it's a dollar doesn't mean it's a steal' and that hit me right in the wallet.
I passed on a busted blender for $2 but grabbed a set of vintage Pyrex bowls for $4 and honestly that little quote saved me from filling my garage with junk again, has anyone else been burned by a 'deal' that wasn't one?

Honestly I used to grab anything under $5 thinking I was winning, but after hauling home a lamp that didn't work and a toaster with a broken knob I finally get it. Tbh that quote would have saved me a lot of trips to the dump when I realized cheap stuff still costs you space and sanity. Ngl it's a solid reminder that a deal only counts if you actually need or use it.
