Picked the $3 mystery box over a $12 candle holder at Goodwill in Dayton, and I'm still grinning
Stood in the Goodwill on Wilmington Pike last Saturday holding a dusty glass candle holder in one hand and a taped up mystery box for $3 in the other. The box felt heavy so I went with it, and inside was a working brass desk lamp, a bag of wooden buttons, and a 1970s fondue set still in the box. The lamp alone sells for about $25 online, so I'm counting it as a win. Now I have a fondue set I'll never use, and I'm not sure if I should gift it or try it out. What do you all do with the weird extras from mystery boxes?
