Picked up a $3 board game at Goodwill and the pieces were all wrong

Ngl, I grabbed this old copy of Fireball Island from a Goodwill in Denver for three bucks. Got it home and opened it up and someone had swapped half the marble pieces with random dice and a bottle cap. Kinda funny but also annoying since I was hyped to play it tonight. Has anyone else found a thrift store game that was sabotaged like this?

My buddy found a Monopoly set at a garage sale once that was clearly somebody's revenge project. He opened it up and every single property card had been replaced with handwritten notes like "You owe me $50 for stealing my parking spot" and "Go directly to jail for what you said at the party." The money was all cut up pieces of a pizza coupon. He still keeps it on his shelf as a conversation piece because it's honestly funnier than the actual game.

The pizza coupon money is what gets me. That's a level of pettiness that took actual planning. You had to have a specific reason to be that mad at someone over Monopoly. I wonder if the person who made it ever actually played it with the person it was aimed at, or if it was just a spite project they kept for themselves. Either way, it's a time capsule of someone's worst moment, and now it's just sitting on a shelf making people laugh.
