Serious question, how did I thrift for 6 years before I started checking the back of picture frames?
I used to walk right past framed art at Goodwill because who wants a dusty print of a sailboat, you know? Then about 3 months ago I was at the one on Vine in Fort Wayne and flipped a $4 frame over just to check the price tag on the back. Taped inside was a 1962 baseball card, nothing crazy but sold it for $85 on eBay that same night. Since then I check the back of every single frame I see, and I've pulled out 4 more cards plus an old silver certificate dollar. It blows my mind how many people just toss the whole thing in their cart without looking. Now when I walk in I go straight to the frame aisle first, every time. What's the one spot in a thrift store you always check before anything else?
