Why I stopped fighting the $1 store reading glasses
I used to be snobby about readers, always grabbing the $15 ones from the drugstore with the little case. About 6 months ago I lost my last pair and stopped at the dollar store in Tucumcari out of desperation. Turns out they work just as good and I have a pair in the truck, the kitchen, and my bag for under $4 total. Has anyone else given up on the pricier versions and gone full budget?

Own the embarrassment of being the lady who used to judge dollar store shoppers while squinting at menus. Now I've got readers stashed everywhere like a paranoid grandma, and honestly I panic more about losing the $1 ones than I ever did the fancy pair. The only downside is my kids found them and now use them as "spy glasses" for their detective games.
