Almost got flattened by a SUV last Tuesday at a 4-way stop near downtown

I always assume cars see me, but this guy in a lifted truck just rolled right through the stop sign like I wasn't there. I had to swerve into a wet grassy ditch to avoid getting hit, muddy clothes for the rest of my ride. Has anyone else had close calls at that intersection by the old post office?

Did you end up with mud in places you didn't know you had places? My closest call there was last spring, a minivan just blew past the stop sign while I was crossing. I ended up locking my brakes and flying over my handlebars into a bush... landed right in a bunch of thorny blackberry vines. Took me ten minutes to untangle myself and my bike, and I had scratches all over my arms for a week. It's wild how some drivers just treat those stop signs like suggestions, especially at that weird angled intersection.
