Hit 5,000 miles on my commuter bike and the number kinda snuck up on me
I logged my ride home from work on a rainy Thursday and the odometer on my little Cateye finally rolled past 5,000 miles. That's four years of the same 6 mile round trip to the office in Portland, plus a few detours when the weather was too nice to go straight home. Back when I started I figured I'd quit after one winter, but here I am, still using the same rack and panniers I bought in 2019. The funny part is I only checked the number because my chain was skipping and I wondered how long I'd been running it. Anyone else ever hit a mileage mark without even trying to track it?
