Hit my 5,000th mile last Tuesday, nobody at work cared

I've been tracking every commute for four years now. 5,000 miles is basically riding from Portland to Miami and back. My office manager said "cool" and went back to her spreadsheet. The odometer on my bike clicked over during a drizzly Tuesday ride through the industrial park. No fanfare, no confetti, just me and a soggy granola bar wrapper. Does anyone else keep a log that long, or am I just weird about numbers?
