Switched from a backpack to a pannier rack last week and my back finally stops sweating
I used to carry everything in a backpack on my 5 mile commute in Portland but after 3 days with a single pannier from a garage sale I feel way less tired. Has anyone else noticed a big difference switching bike storage methods?

Eh, I dunno if it's really that serious. People act like carrying a backpack is a medieval torture device or something. I've been using a messenger bag for years in the summer and my back gets a little damp but nothing crazy. Maybe it's the Portland weather that's the real problem, not the bag. Your back was probably gonna sweat anyway riding five miles in that humidity.
