That time a goose chased me through the park on my commute

I was biking through Prospect Park last Tuesday morning when this huge goose just locked eyes with me and started running. I pedaled faster but it kept up for like 3 blocks, honking the whole time. Now I take the long way around the pond even if it adds 5 minutes. Has anyone else ever been ambushed by wildlife on their route?

I gotta push back on this whole "goose ambush" thing. You say it "locked eyes and started running" but honestly that sounds like you cut it off or got too close to its nest. Geese don't just pick random bike targets for no reason. Most of the time when someone says an animal attacked them out of nowhere they were doing something dumb without realizing it. Maybe you were riding through the grass next to the pond instead of staying on the pavement where you belong.
