Can we talk about season 2 of that show where everyone said 'it gets better'?

I put off watching The Expanse for years because the first 3 episodes felt like homework. Everyone kept telling me to stick with it, that season 2 is where it really picks up. I finally forced myself through season 1 and by episode 4 of season 2 I was hooked. Has anyone else spent too much time grinding through a slow start just because of hype?

Oh man, that was me with Breaking Bad. Everyone told me it gets better after the first few episodes and I sat through the whole first season thinking "when does this get good?" Then season 2 hit and I was glued to the screen. It's rough when you invest that much time hoping the hype is real, but when it finally clicks it feels worth it.

Did you find yourself forcing it at first, or were you genuinely curious enough to keep going despite the slow burn? Because I've had shows where I was just hate-watching until the hook finally sunk in.
