My power went out for a whole day and I finally watched 'The Bear'

Got stuck at home during that big storm last Tuesday, and with no internet, I just played the first episode from a download. Ended up watching the entire first season in one sitting because I couldn't stop, the energy is just wild lol. Has anyone else gotten totally sucked into a show because of some random situation like that?

Is it really that good though? I tried one episode and it was just people yelling in a kitchen.

My friend told me to skip straight to season two, episode four. The one with the Christmas party fight. That episode clicked for me because it stopped being random yelling and showed why these people are so angry at each other. You see all the old family problems come out while they're trying to carve a turkey. After that, I went back and the first season made a lot more sense.

Totally disagree with eva here, the yelling is the point, not just random noise. Watching it as just chaos misses how every character's panic comes from somewhere real and painful.
