Rant: My entire weekend binge plan for 'Severance' got wrecked by a power outage

I finally had a free weekend in Chicago and was three episodes into the first season when a storm knocked the power out for almost 8 hours. I had the snacks ready and everything. On one hand, maybe it's better to savor a show like that, but I was fully committed to the full immersion experience. Has a technical issue ever totally derailed your binge session?

Shaneh13 is totally right about the fragile tech chain. My own binge of that show about the plane crash got nuked when my streaming app just deleted itself from my TV. You plan your whole night around it and then some stupid glitch ruins everything.

Feel like our whole idea of free time now depends on a perfect chain of tech working right. Your power goes out, my internet cuts off right at the big reveal, a streaming service just glitches for an hour. We plan these escapes into a show but the real world, the wires and the weather, always gets a vote. Makes you wonder if the old way of waiting a week for a new episode wasn't a little more sturdy.
