Skipping the first 3 episodes of a slow burn show, are we missing out or dodging a bullet?
I tried the trick of jumping past the first 3 episodes of The Leftovers after a buddy in Austin swore it fixes the pacing, and it honestly worked for season 1. But then I did the same thing with a mystery series and felt lost, like I skipped a chapter in a book. Do you guys stick it out through the slog or is skipping fair game for these binge shows?

Depends on the show honestly... some are worth the grind, some ain't. Missing context sucks worse than slow burnin'.
