Spent $15 on a show I thought I'd hate and it was the best money I wasted
My friend basically forced me to buy a month of that streaming service for a show about competitive knitting. It sounded dumb. I watched the first episode out of spite, then the whole season in one night. The drama over a dropped stitch was more tense than most cop shows. Anyone else have a show they only tried because they were bored or peer pressured?

Oh man, I totally get this. I would have scrolled right past a show about competitive knitting too. My sister made me watch this baking competition that I thought would be boring. Turns out, watching people panic over a fallen cake is weirdly gripping. I was completely wrong about it. Now I’m the one telling people to give it a shot.

Best way to handle it is to make it a whole thing. Pick one episode that has high stakes like a sudden elimination or a big challenge. Then you make snacks and turn it into an event. That way it feels less like you're being dragged into something and more like you're along for a fun ride. I've done that with a few shows my wife wanted me to watch and now I'm the one asking when the next episode drops. Just commit to one full episode. That's all it takes. You get sucked into the drama and before you know it you have opinions on who deserved to win.

My buddy got dragged to a fishing tournament and mocked it the whole ride there. He ended up yelling at the screen over a guy losing a huge bass right at the boat. He bought a fishing rod the next week.
