The 2 am episode skip habit that ruined every finale for me

Ngl, I realized I was fast-forwarding through the slow character scenes just to get to the plot, and then last week I couldn't figure out why the ending of Dark Matter hit so flat for me. Has anyone else caught themselves doing this and gone back to rewatch the boring parts with fresh eyes?

Same way I scroll past the quiet moments in life and then wonder why the big ones feel empty.
