Took me 3 hours to find why my stream kept buffering on episode 4 and it was the dumbest fix ever
So I was rewatching Breaking Bad on my laptop and every time I hit episode 4 of season 2 it would buffer, stop, then kick me back to the menu. I messed with my router, cleared my cache, even called my internet guy who said my speed was fine at 200 mbps. Turns out my roommate had set the TV in the living room to auto download every episode in HD on the same wifi, so my laptop was fighting it for bandwidth the whole time. Took me 3 hours and a lot of yelling at my screen before I put two and two together. Anyone else get wrecked by a hidden download running in the background while you're mid binge?

I used to blame my wifi for buffering until I learned background downloads hog everything.
