Went back and rewatched season 1 of The Bear after finishing season 3, felt like two totally different shows
I binged season 3 last month in about two days, then went back to season 1 this past weekend and it honestly felt like a different show. The first season has this tight 28 minute episode rhythm where every scene pushes forward, and by season 3 episodes are running 40 plus minutes with a lot of slow montages. I think the jump in episode length after the show got big changed how it's paced, because they stopped needing to hook you in 30 minutes. Curious if other people noticed the same thing with other shows that got popular between seasons, which ones held up and which ones got bloated?
