My mailman asked why I quench in a vertical tank and it made me rethink my whole setup
He was a hobby smith in Ohio back in the 90s and said a horizontal tank let the heat pull uneven on his 5160 blades, which is why I switched mine last weekend. Anyone else moved their quench tank around and noticed a difference in the curve?
