Switched from coal to propane in my forge last spring
I used to fight with coal for years, messing with the airflow and cleaning clinkers every 20 minutes. Finally bought a propane burner setup for $300 and now I can just flip a switch and get right to work on a knife without all that hassle. Has anyone else made the swap and regretted it or is it just me?

Honestly, that "mess with airflow" part speaks to my soul. I switched two years ago and haven't looked back once.

Wow, only $300 for a full propane setup? That's dirt cheap compared to what I've seen around here. I can't believe it was that affordable for you. Most guys I know dropped like $600 or more on theirs. How did you manage to keep the cost so low? What brand of burner did you go with?
