That expensive forge blower I bought blew hot air for 6 months then died...
I was always skeptical about paying $200 for a branded blower when a $40 furnace fan from Home Depot could push air... but I read enough forum posts saying the cheap ones burn out in a year. Well, the fancy one lasted exactly 6 months before the motor seized up solid on a Saturday afternoon. Has anyone else had a high-end blower fail way sooner than they expected?

Wait, did the motor literally seize up or did it just stop spinning? I had a "fancy" blower that just needed the capacitor replaced for like 8 bucks.

Right there with you. Had an old Echo trimmer that just quit mid-job, wouldn't even budge. Took it to a small engine shop and the guy laughed - said it was a 7 dollar spring in the starter mechanism. Fixed it myself in ten minutes after watching a YouTube video. Felt like an idiot for almost buying a whole new trimmer. Half the time with these things it's something tiny and cheap, not a total breakdown.
