Best week I've had in a while with a vintage wool blazer find

Found a 1960s Pendleton blazer at a thrift store in Des Moines for $12 last Saturday. It fits perfectly and the patina on the brass buttons is unreal. Any tips for removing a faint mothball smell without dry cleaning?

Vodka and water in a spray bottle worked great for me with a similar vintage wool find. Just mist it lightly, let it air out in a shady spot for a day or two, and the smell should fade without damaging the fabric. Hanging it outside on a breezy day helps too, just keep it out of direct sun so the wool doesn't get damaged.

Half a bottle of cheap vodka saved my grandpa's old sweater last winter.
