Just realized a simple way to stop my knife blade from wobbling in the handle

I had this old custom folder where the blade kept getting a little loose after a day of cutting. I tried tightening the pivot screw but it would just wiggle right back. Then I remembered a trick someone mentioned about using a tiny drop of blue thread locker on the screw threads. Let it sit for 10 minutes before tightening and it's been rock solid for two weeks now. Anyone else use that stuff or do you have another fix for pivot wobble?

Hold up, you really think 30 seconds is enough for that stuff to start working? I always give it at least 5-10 minutes so the thread locker can get tacky before I snug it down. If you tighten it too fast it just squeezes out and does nothing, which is probably why people say it doesn't work. Blue is the way to go for pivot screws though, it's strong enough to hold but you can still break it loose later with a little heat from a soldering iron.

You waited 10 minutes for that blue stuff to set? I would have been tightening it up after 30 seconds and hoping for the best.
