Never thought I'd say this about a vintage blazer lining
Last month I picked up a 70s Pendleton at a flea market in Des Moines, and the mustard yellow lining had me ready to rip it out. After one wear to a dinner downtown, I caught the jacket catching light in a way that totally worked with the fabric - now I'm keeping it as-is. Anyone else had a design detail on a vintage coat change their mind after actually using it?

I read something about Pendleton using special wool blends in the 70s that catch light differently over time. Bet that lining has some of that in it.

Huh, that "catch light differently over time" bit is interesting. You think that's from how the wool fibers reflect and fade, or is it more about the dye they used back then wearing down in a certain pattern?
