Can we talk about how I used to sleeve EVERY card and now I just don't?

For years I double sleeved every single card in my collection, even the 50 cent ones, and my hands would cramp up after a 3 hour game night at my buddy's place in Portland. Then about 8 months ago I watched a guy at my local shop shuffle a $200 commander deck with no sleeves at all and nobody at the table even blinked. Now I only sleeve cards worth over 5 bucks, and honestly my deck boxes fit way better and setup takes me half the time. The cards still get scuffed a little but I stopped caring once I realized I was spending more on sleeves than on the actual game. Has anyone else made this switch, or am I just asking for a ruined collection down the road?
