Fought with a broken rulebook for 45 minutes before realizing I was reading a misprint
I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out why my game setup didn't match the instructions, until I noticed the rulebook had a page where pictures and text didn't line up at all. Has anyone else run into a rulebook that was just flat-out wrong, or am I the only one unlucky enough to get a defective copy?

Actually I've seen this happen a ton with Kickstarter games where they rush the print run and mix up proof versions. Check the inside cover for a printing date or edition number, that's usually how you spot the bad batches.
