Hit 500 unique games logged on BGG last night

Didn't even realize I was close. Just checked my profile after a 6-hour marathon of Dice Throne with my buddy. 500 plays is a weirdly solid milestone for me. It means I've actually played through most of my shelf instead of just buying stuff. Anybody else track their numbers and get surprised by a random milestone like that?

Ha, that reminds me of the time I realized I'd played Carcassonne like 40 times in a month and thought I was some kind of tile-spreading genius, then found out my buddy had logged 300 games of it that year. Numbers are dumb but also weirdly satisfying, I guess I just like seeing the little bar graph fill up.

Oh man, "weirdly solid milestone" is the perfect way to put it. My buddy Dave hit 400 plays last year and only found out because his app gave him a little notification at like 2am. He was mostly just grinding through a single deckbuilder for months, you know, one of those games where you think you'll stop after "one more round" and then it's sunrise. He said it felt way more meaningful than hitting some big personal number because it meant he actually stuck with the hobby instead of just chasing the new hotness. Kinda makes you wonder how many other tiny stats you're racking up without even noticing.
