My friend Dave wrecked my opinion on deck builders
I always thought deck building games were just about grabbing the best cards and hoping for luck. Then my buddy Dave sat me down with Clank! last Friday and showed me how planning your moves three turns ahead matters way more. He kept saying 'every card you skip is a decision, not a mistake' and it finally clicked for me. Now I actually enjoy losing in those games because I can see where my strategy fell apart. Anyone else have a friend who shifted your view on a whole game genre?

Wait, isn't skipping cards just bad luck dressed up as strategy?

Makes sense though, people love finding patterns where there's just randomness.
