Picked Gloomhaven over D&D for our Saturday group and it paid off big time

Tbh I was torn between starting a D&D campaign or jumping into Gloomhaven with my crew of 4. We went with Gloomhaven after I found a used copy for $40 on Facebook Marketplace. Three sessions in and we're hooked, the card-based combat makes it way easier to keep everyone engaged without one person talking over the rest. Has anyone else made a similar swap and regretted it or loved it?

$40 is a steal, I paid full price and still feel lucky.

Grabbed mine local on a Facebook marketplace listing for $30 and it was barely used. That's the way to go if you can be patient.
