Pro tip: A friend told me my dice tower tray was too loud. Fixed it with felt pads under $3.

I was at a meetup last Saturday and this guy named Dave just straight up said 'your dice tower sounds like a garbage disposal.' It was harsh but true. I grabbed some adhesive felt pads from a hardware store for like $2.50, stuck them on the base and the landing zone. Now it's silent. Has anyone else had someone point out a simple fix that made everything better?

You mentioned 'a friend told me my dice tower tray was too loud,' but that's not quite right. A dice tower tray is just the tray part, the noise usually comes from the dice hitting the actual tower ramps or the base before they land. So putting felt on the tray alone might not fix the whole rattle. You'd probably need to line the inside ramps too, otherwise the dice still clatter on the way down. I did that with my own tower and it made a bigger difference than just the landing pad.
