Serious question, did that big board game convention in Indy change their bag check policy?
I was at Gen Con last year and someone swiped my copy of Twilight Imperium right off the table while I was grabbing lunch. Security told me they don't watch individual tables, only the main exits. Now I carry a $15 luggage lock and cable tie my box to the chair leg. Has anyone else had stuff walk away at a crowded con like that?

Lost my whole bag of dice once at Origins, found it three years later in a box of old board games.

Stone.simon said they lost their bag and found it three years later in a box of old board games. I mean I get it's funny looking back but that's kind of exactly the problem with the "just laugh it off" attitude. I had a sealed copy of Wingspan I was bringing for a trade and some kid ran past my table and just grabbed it, security did nothing because they were only watching the doors. Locking your stuff down with a cable tie isn't paranoid, it's just common sense when you're sitting at a con for six hours staring at a table. You don't need to lose a $70 box to learn that lesson, you know?
