Tried to teach my grandmother Catan after 3 rounds she flipped the board

Honestly thought it'd be a chill Sunday afternoon but she got super intense when someone blocked her longest road. Now she keeps asking when we can play again so she can get revenge.

Oh man, I’ve been there! Just let her win the first game next time, it’s the only way to calm the revenge streak without ending up with a flipped table again.

Start by picking a game where you can throw the match without it being obvious. Something like Uno or a card game where you can pretend you just got bad luck. That way she feels good about the win but you also get to play real games later without her being all fired up for revenge. It takes a little practice to fake disappointment but it works every time. Just make sure you don't accidentally make it too obvious or she'll see right through it.
