Vent: my cat flipped my Catan board at 11pm and I found sheep tokens under the fridge a week later
We were three turns into the best game I have had in months, my brother was finally about to lose after gloating all night, and then my cat jumped straight onto the table. The board, the roads, the little robber, all of it went flying across the living room. I crawled around for 40 minutes picking up cards while my brother laughed so hard he had to sit down. Found two sheep and a wheat token under the fridge a week later when I was looking for a spoon. Does anyone have a table cover that actually keeps cats off, or do I just need to lock the door?
My mom had a beagle that ate an entire Scrabble game once. We didn't know until my dad tried to play "QUIZ" and pulled out a chewed up Z. That dog had a thing for tiles I guess. We found letters in the yard for months after, the Q turned up in a flower bed in spring. We ended up just playing with a missing letter for years and my mom would always say "close enough" when someone tried to use a blank. Cats are bad but at least they don't eat the pieces.
