Called BS on tube rolling for 2 inch boiler tubes, then a guy in Gary showed me his setup
I've been rolling tubes by feel with a torque wrench for 12 years, so when a fitter in Gary said I should try a rolling motor with a preset torque limiter I laughed it off. Last Tuesday on a 2 inch tube job I borrowed his HFT motor for one pass, and every roll came out dead on with no over-rolling, which saved me about 40 minutes on that header alone. Has anyone else switched to a powered roller, or do you still do it by hand and trust the feel?
