Changed my mind on hammering tubes dry after a shutdown in Gary
I always rolled tubes wet because that's how the older guys taught me, but a fitter named Ray at a Gary mill talked me into trying it dry on a 60 tube job last month and the pull test numbers came back cleaner. Took me about 4 hours instead of the usual 6 too. Anybody else switch methods after getting pushed by someone younger on the crew?
