Found out my torch tip costs more than I thought
I was cleaning out my shop this morning and actually checked the price on a replacement tip for my Smith torch - $78 for the one I use. Has anyone else noticed prices jumping on basic welding gear lately?

Ngl, that stings. It feels like everything in the hardware and tool world has quietly gone up 20-30% in the last couple years, even for basic stuff. You almost have to treat every replacement part like a major purchase now.

Yeah @aaronlee, you're not wrong at all... I went to grab a new file set last week and almost choked when I saw the price. A simple 3-pack of decent files used to be like eight bucks, now it's pushing fifteen or more. Even my go-to brand for basic wrenches has jumped way up to where I'm second guessing if I really need them or if I can just make do with what I've got. It's wild how something as simple as replacing a worn out socket or a broken tape measure feels like a big decision now... you almost have to treat every trip to the hardware store like it's a planned investment or something.
