Remember when we used to hand pack all the firetube boiler tubes?

We had a job on a 600 HP unit in Toledo last year and used a hydraulic tube expander for the first time. The seal was perfect on the first try, no leaks, and it cut the job time by more than half. Anyone else made that switch and found it just saves so much hassle?

No kidding, @paul_stone29 is right, it's a total game changer. We switched last spring and the real win is how it handles the old, pitted tubes without needing a ton of prep work. It just makes a uniform seal every single time, so you're not going back to re-hit spots. Honestly, I can't see us ever going back to the old way.

Heard my buddy's crew tried one and they were blown away.
