Spent a full afternoon fighting a drum roll that wouldn't sit flat

I was working on a boiler retube over in Gary last Tuesday and ran into this old drum where the roll just refused to hold. Kept thinking it was my expander or I wasn't getting enough torque, so I kept going back over it. After about 4 hours of messing around I finally checked the tube sheet and found a burr on the lip that was throwing everything off. Took me maybe 10 minutes to dress it down after that. Has anyone else had a tiny defect like that eat up your whole day?

Haven't you ever had a tool just not work right for no good reason?

Blame the person before you who used it wrong.
